  1. Michael, why oh why would you have a picture like this on your website? Seriously, it completely undervalues all the good you say. Its just a cheap shot for NO reason. Again, why is this picture here? Why did you draw it? Do you think its funny? Its proof that your motivations are not just secular.

    Regards,

    Paul (atheist btw)

  2. Paul, of course my motivations are not just secular. This is a blog about atheism, reason, skepticism and happiness. I’d love to have time to put up more cartoons, and I’ll do so when I get time to.

Why do you think it’s a cheap shot? I think it’s an incredibly gentle play on the philosophical idea that everything must have a cause, with a hypothetical God in the pose of Rodin’s The Thinker.

  3. I have a small statue of a monkey in the pose of Rodin’s The Thinker. It’s name is “Darwin’s Mistake.”

I agree with your response. The cartoon is a gentle way to suggest t0 people they think about what they believe to see if they really believe what they think they do. God has always existed: Jesus has always existed but is second to God. Sounds like evolution to me. Then you have the Holy Spirit who apparently has always existed. Curious only three.
