Proposed religious education plans will not end evangelisation in schools

by Michael Nugent on December 28, 2016

The proposed plans to remove religion as a core subject in primary schools will make no difference in practice unless the Education Act is also changed to ensure that schools do not deliver the State curriculum in accordance with Catholic ethos. Here is my interview with Newstalk’s Tom Dunne about this today.

Michael, Merry Christmas to you. Catholic schools do not Evangelise they instruct in the faith. Where are you getting that they Evangelise from? Yet again you use the word indoctrinate you are wrong in this. If it where the case they where indoctrinating I would join the protest against it. But they’re not. Please stop saying that. Yet again you show that you’re an anti-Catholicism. Please stop.
